Edo Takeout
Edo Takeout, located at 16 Condict St, New Brunswick, NJ 08901, offers a delightful blend of flavors in a college-town setting, making it a popular choice for locals and students alike. Whether you’re craving sushi, loaded fries, or something more unique, Edo’s menu has something for everyone, with a standout item being their "fat cup."
The fat cup features well-seasoned meat, accompanied by a variety of topping choices that add depth to the dish. You can opt for protein options like spicy pork, bulgogi, or tofu, catering to both meat lovers and vegans. The dish has become a fan favorite due to its generous portions, rich flavor, and the fact that it keeps evolving. For instance, recent changes have introduced more meat and less rice, which many patrons appreciate, adding to the dish’s appeal.
A noteworthy feature of Edo Takeout is its late-night hours. The restaurant stays open until late, offering a convenient option for those looking for a late-night bite, even around 10 PM. This is especially popular in a bustling college town where students often need a satisfying meal during late study sessions or after a long day.

Edo Takeout Reviews
Nestled in the middle of a college town so it is always busy, but worth it. They have sushi and loaded fries, but the real star is the fat cup. The meat is well seasoned and the other topping choices keep it interesting. There is also a tofu option for vegan individuals. I've noticed that they have made some changes to the fat cup, there is more meat topping and less rice. That is my preference, so I believe it's a good change. (Ambiance) It is best to do take out because the inside has limited seating, there is also limited parking.
One of my favorite takeout spots while I was a student at Rutgers. I always went for the fat cup with either spicy pork or bulgogi and it never served me wrong when I was stressed about exams or boys. Pretty affordable, filling, and consistent. Nothing crazy but always hit the spot.
Super surprised on how fresh and satisfying the food is. Love the vibe it's very chill. Food is made to order. My bowl was steaming hot. Loved it! My bulgogi fat cup was delicious! I would get it again. Hidden secret!! It's off the Main Street. Must try it.
I came here for the second time and was truly impressed. This is the best poke place in town! I ordered the Korean bowl and it was under $15. It came in a really big bowl, bigger than the ones you'd get normally, with rice on the side. The variety and quantity of fish was generous. I had enough for two meals. I recommend this place and will be a returning customer. This place is better than Scarlet Bowl on Easton.
Pretty good food, the quantity is relatively generous? The best part is definitely how late Edo is open, I can still grab sushi/other items even at like 10 PM.
